Aston Villa 'Ready' to Sign Joao Felix Alternative
Premier League club Aston Villa are reportedly 'ready' to sign a less expensive alternative to Joao Felix in January.
The Villans have been linked with a move for the Atletico Madrid star, but Felix's £10 million loan fee is thought to be beyond their reach.
Therefore, Villa are now looking at other options, with PSV Eindhoven's Cody Gakpo said to be a potential target. The 23-year-old has scored 13 goals in 24 appearances for PSV this season and would represent a cheaper option than Felix.
Gakpo has also been linked with a move to Manchester United, but Villa are hoping to beat their rivals to his signature.
Steven Gerrard's side are in need of attacking reinforcements, having scored just 22 goals in 15 Premier League games this season.
